This year there was a change of routine on the catering front, owing to the illness of our main attraction, Caryl. She was greatly missed by friends and colleagues alike. We were very grateful, therefore, that another member and catering expert, Andy, stepped into the breach.
The good news was that more people attended than in recent years. The atmosphere was very friendly and fun, and the DJ Sonny kept folk on their feet dancing. Committee members Patricia, Funmi and Louis worked hard to make the event a success. Thanks to Nalini and the Sharma family team, the Tombola table did well too. Almost as many adults as children had their faces painted by Jannice.
And of course the weather was perfect!
