Having asked patients in October 2025 to think about who they may like to nominate for this Award in 2026, we are now seeking nominations.
The Award was established in 2025 to recognise Royal Free staff who go above and beyond, providing excellence in kidney care.
Has one of our administrators, dietitians, doctors, health care assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, psychologists, renal technicians (or anyone else in the team, in any of the Royal Free locations!) provided excellent care to you?
The question being asked on the nomination form is:
“How has this person made your life, or the lives of other people living with kidney disease, better?”

This information has also been included on a poster which will be displayed at the RFL’s kidney units and wards.
The Royal Free London (RFL) kidney team and the RFHKPA will be hosting a celebration event on Monday 1st June 2026, in the Sir William Wells Atrium, at the Royal Free London Hospital from around 6.30pm. A programme for this event, including the presentation of the Award, will be provided nearer the time.
